Rethinking Public Service Development Seminar 10.6.
The city of Helsinki has started pilot projects for rethinking services through the application of service design approaches. Aalto Service Factory along with Aalto International Design Business Management (IDBM) programme have been collaborating in this development. The project has brought together students from design, marketing and technology to study and reconsider network management, the co-design facilitation in networks, and envisioning tools for supporting service development. The seminar will present the projects outcomes.

The keynote speaker, MindLab project manager Runa Sabroe comes from Denmark. MindLab is a cross-ministerial innovation unit which involves citizens and businesses in creating new solutions for society. MindLab is also a physical space – a neutral zone for inspiring creativity, innovation and collaboration. They work with the civil servants in our three parent ministries: the Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs, the Ministry of Taxation and the Ministry of Employment. Entrepreneurship, climate change, digital self-service, citizen’s rights, employment services and workplace safety are some of the areas they address. (http://www.mind-lab.dk/en)
